Global Missions
We support global missions in two ways: first, as members of the Southern Baptist Convention Cooperative Program and our local Chesterfield County Baptist Association, we give 15 percent of our budget annually to support North American and International mission efforts. These funds are given to support the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ all around the world and we are excited to participate in these missions through our giving.
However, we recognize the mission of the church is not only to give but to go so the second way we support global missions is by going. Each summer we send a team on a mission somewhere in North America. This year we will also be sending a team to Nicaragua to serve with Chosen Children Ministries in their efforts to plant churches and reach the people of Nicaragua with the Gospel of Christ.
In Matthew 28:16-20 Jesus gave the Great Commission to His disciples in which he said, “Go make disciples of all nations…” We believe it is important for every follower of Christ to be a part of fulfilling this commission by using the different gifts and resources Jesus has given them to share His Gospel with our nation and our world.
